The Late Type is Intended for use with car having column mounted Dip and Indicator switches but will also fit early Car. The Early Type has an undrilled hole and fits the Early Car with the Door Mounted Indicator Switch Part No SP84 and the side below window mounted Dip Switch Part No 31704. You could with care drill the casting and make this type a Late type Original part cleaned and ready to install
