The small chromed ring main beam warning light originally had a Red lens in the middle and is of a quite different design to the Ignition and Indicator warning lamp which are a plastic button  This product is similar to the original  with its chrome ring but in keeping with modern cars it has a blue lens and will fit directly through the original 10.8mm dashboard hole without modification. Can be connected either way as it does not appear to be polarity sensitive Note Do not use LED lights for the Ignition/charge dash light as the circuit requires a 2 watt resistance to operate the charging circuit
