The battery on the Isetta can in some circumstances touch the seat springs and cause a fire one way to stop it is fit a Battery Isolator Cut Off Switch Part No 1153 however by the time you have operated the switch some damage may have been caused to the seat so another way to stop fire risk and clean up the below seat area is to fit a cover over the battery.
